REPORT - SAZKA GRAND BMX 2024

The big sports event of the year, the Life! festival at the BVV, is behind us, and with it the 11th continuation of our accompanying program at this festival. You could see us in the Sazka arena, which we have prepared for you in pavilion F.

The traditional freestyle BMX race with a 20-year history for PRIZE MONEY 35,000 CZK took place in the VSA double mini-ramp with a funbox in the middle. This year, the race was also the 2024 Czech Republic Mini-Ramp Championship and we awarded titles in the AMATEUR, PRO and women categories.

A total of 9 riders started in the amateur category . We saw great riding and difficult tricks in this part of the race as well. The amateur category was dominated by Vojta Sláma, Maxmilián Jan Chyba, Zdražil Lukáš, Stara Tobiáš or the recent Czech Champion in this category David Ungr.

A total of 15 riders from not only the Czech Republic but also Slovakia and Hungary entered the PRO category qualification. The 10 advancing finalists of the PRO category and the start of the final itself was again the best of the whole day. The Sazka zone of the arena was bursting at the seams and the atmosphere was great. What happened in the finalists' rides is indescribable. The level of riding was really high. Tricks were performed that we have not seen in GRAND BMX races so far. You can find the placement of the individual riders in the results table in the gallery. The PRO category was won by Tomáš Tohol from Slovakia, second place was Tomáš Beran and third place was Jakub Meloun . Congratulations!

The great atmosphere was commented on by moderators Berny Soška, Patrik Fáfek and Jeny Valenta.

Saturday also saw the premiere of the new SAZKA pumptrack , which is special because it is made from recycled elk.

The third day of the festival – Sunday – was dedicated to the race on the brand new pump track called SAZKA MPC FINALS 2024. Riders of various age categories competed on the pump track and in the BMX and SCOOT disciplines. It was once again a great spectacle.

Thank you to all the riders for participating, to all the spectators for the great atmosphere and to all the partners for their support and thus the possibility of implementing the event. This year was once again unique. We enjoyed it!
